Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The manuscript is typed, double-spaced, using a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The submission is original and has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration
  • Complete author details are provided, including ORCID ID, affiliation, and contact information.
  • If the research involves human participants, data, or biological material, ethical approval has been obtained, and ethical standards have been followed.
  • Any potential conflict of interest is clearly stated in the manuscript.
  • A cover letter is attached, outlining the relevance of the submission to the scope of the journal and declaring any potential conflicts of interest.

Author Guidelines

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items. Submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. Manuscript Formatting: The manuscript is word-processed, double-spaced, using a 12-point font, with margins of at least 1 inch. All pages are numbered consecutively.

  2. Article Structure: The manuscript is structured as per the journal's guidelines, including an abstract, keywords, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and references.

  3. Originality: The work submitted is original, has not been published elsewhere in any form or language (partially or in full), and is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  4. Citation and Referencing Style: The manuscript must adhere to the APA citation and referencing style as required by the journal.

  5. Author Information: Complete contact information for all authors, including email, affiliation, and ORCID ID, is provided.

  6. Ethical Compliance: Research involving human participants, data, or biological material adheres to ethical considerations and, where required, has received approval from an ethics committee.

  7. Conflict of Interest: Any potential conflict of interest is clearly stated.

  8. Data Availability: If applicable, authors have provided a statement regarding the availability of data and materials supporting the results reported in the article.

  9. Cover Letter: A cover letter is included with the submission, outlining the significance of the work and its fit with the scope of the journal.

  10. Figures and Tables: All figures and tables are appropriately labeled, of high quality, and cited in the text.

  11. Permissions: Necessary permissions have been obtained for the use of copyrighted material from other sources.

  12. Supplementary Material: Any supplementary material is prepared and submitted as per the journal's guidelines.

  13. Online Submissions: Global Trade Perspectives accepts manuscript submissions exclusively through our online portal. Please refrain from submitting via email to ensure your work is processed efficiently.

Authors should check each item to confirm adherence. The submission may not proceed to the review stage until all items on this checklist are confirmed.

  • Global Access Publishing: Upon acceptance of an article for publication, the author or their funding entity is obligated to remit an Article Processing Charge (APC), presently set at $500 USD. In alignment with our commitment to fostering worldwide inclusivity in the dissemination of research, we provide waivers or discounts to authors hailing from developing countries. This policy ensures that the finalized, peer-reviewed versions of the articles are universally accessible at no cost, thereby enhancing the dissemination and influence of a wide range of scientific perspectives.
